The training to become an industrial mechanic with a focus on maintenance requires a good to very good secondary school leaving certificate as well as manual dexterity, technical interest, and logical thinking. Tasks include repairing mechanical components, assembling machines, commissioning and functional testing. Other duties include organizing production processes, error analysis, maintenance of technical systems, and maintenance work.
