Compensation:
$18 - $23
Shift Details:
This is a full-time position. Currently we offer our full-time team a 5 day work week with Wednesdays and Sundays as dedicated days off. Our goal is to move to a rotating Saturday schedule at some point soon.
Office Hours:
- Monday 8:00am 5:00pm
- Tuesday 8:00am 4:00pm
- Wednesday Closed
- Thursday 8:00am 4:00pm
- Friday 8:00am 3:00pm
- Saturday 8:00am 4:00pm (future rotations)
- Sunday Closed
Skills:
We are looking for proficiency with restraint, venipuncture, IV catheter placement. Preferred experience in anesthetic monitoring and dental scaling and charting. We are willing to train the right person.
We are a 50-year-old practice, celebrating over 30-years of AAHA accreditation. We pride ourselves on education and team development.
You will enjoy working in our beautiful, well-equipped facility which includes in-house diagnostics, digital radiographs, ultrasounds, dental and laser surgeries.
We offer a variety of services including but not limited to Ultrasound, in-house laboratory testing, physical therapy (we offer acupuncture, laser therapy, underwater treadmill and more at the Whole Animal Gym one block away), Penn HIP, digital x-ray.

Responsibilities:
_ Major Duties:

- Our Veterinary Technicians are responsible for inpatient medical care
- Anesthesia/Surgery
- Our Veterinary Technician's prep, induction, maintenance, monitoring, recovery of patients, cleans/maintains/sterilize anesthesia equipment and surgical instruments.
- Dentistry
- Our Veterinary Technician's provide patient dental care, ultrasonic cleaning and polishing, assist doctor with dental surgery.
- Laboratory duties
- Our Veterinary Technicians are responsible for collecting, preparing, & running or submitting samples for requested tests; reading and recording results when indicated (fecals, Urines, Ear cytology etc) when requested by doctor.
- Preparing invoices, discharge instructions, and client informational tools
- Client communication for hospitalized patients give patient updates, discharge instructions, and provide follow up for certain hospital patients.
- Client medical demonstrations / education teach/educate clients on at home care procedures.
