Job Summary:
The Coordinator-Radiology provides administrative support to the Director and performs various tasks working closely with internal staff. Performs and creates statistical and productivity reports. Meets with team members, customers, and partners to ensure service levels are maintained. Collaborates with Staff Development to satisfy the needs of the Radiology department. Assists with Radiology Information System/Picture Archiving and Communication System (RIS/PACS) systems. Assists with ensuring quality assurance for each modality. Participates in performance improvement activities for the Radiology department. Assists with coordinating daily operations within radiology and diagnostic x-ray service line. Performs other duties as needed.


Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree required. Minimum three years of experience in a healthcare environment. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.


Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of medical terminology. Able to type 40 wpm.

Proficient in word processing software (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ect.) and other computer and software programs necessary to the position.

Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with patients, physicians, and co-workers. Ability to communicate, think critically and effectively about complex matters with others.


Able to:
read; write legibly; speak in English (and Spanish preferred) with professional quality.

Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; be assertive and consistent in following and/or enforcing policies; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; collaborate; accept direction.

Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; work independently with mínimal supervision; perform basic math functions; manage multiple assignments effectively; work well under pressure; problem solve; organize and prioritize workload; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail.

Able to hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone; identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the work place; see adequately to read computer screens, medical records, and written documents necessary to position; discern temperature variances through touch.
