_Job Summary:
_

The Buyer of Contract Manufactured Products Buyer at Sabrosura Foods will be responsible for ordering and managing inventories to ensure the production team has the materials needed to meet our production schedules and we have product to meet customer demand for Work-in-process (WIP) and Purchased Finished Goods.

The buyer will be responsible for executing and improving the procurement processes for the assigned categories. This role is integral to our operations and requires excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and negotiation skills.

_Job Responsibilities:
_
- _Procure WIP (work in process) items necessary for our production operations while adhering to inventory targets._
- _Procure purchased finished goods to meet forecasted demand while maintaining appropriate inventory levels, meeting budgetary constraints, and quality standards._
- _Identify future sources of WIP and finished goods suppliers._
- _Manage and maintain relationships with vendors and contract manufacturers, ensuring excellent communication and timely deliveries._
- _Work closely with the scheduler, plant operations, and finance teams to align procurement strategies with production schedules and budgetary goals._
- _Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent stockouts and to optimize inventory in Sabrosura warehouses and outside storage facilities._
- _Collaborate with cross-functional teams to anticipate material needs, and align procurement activities with production requirements, product changes, and new item launches._
- _Resolve delivery and invoicing issues with Suppliers._
- _Conduct monthly inventory counts for stock items._
- _Maintain accurate pricing and delivery dates in ERP/MRP system (Canopy)._
- _Perform other duties as assigned._

_Education and Experience:
_
- _3-5 years' experience in purchasing, preferably in food or CPG_
- _High School or equivalent_
- _Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field preferred._

- _Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions._
- _Strong negotiation skills_
- _Excellent communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams._
- _Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively._
- _Strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt to changing needs._
- _Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends to address emergencies._
- _Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite._
- _Expertise utilizing an ERP of MRP system._
