- Attain a broad understanding and awareness of developmental and programmatic activities across a family of similar systems.
- Become familiar and knowledgeable about DoD systems development and acquisition.
- Monitor, maintain, communicate technical requirements and developmental risks to various leadership customers.
- Provide technical input, systems engineering recommendations, and develop technical program briefs and documents as needed.
- Coordinate technical risk and Independent Technical Risk Assessment (ITRA) conduct and support acquisition of a program of record platform.
- Interact with Government customers daily and typically provide input to Serco project managers on programmatic and technical deliverables.
- Comply with applicable quality and security procedures in the performance of duties. May provide recommendations for improvements to existing quality systems and applicable company procedures and guidelines.
- Can work independently and under general direction ensuring daily reporting requirements are upheld to ensure continuous support to customer missions.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by Serco Management and Government customers.
- A Bachelors degree in Marine, Mechanical, Electrical, or Ocean Engineering or Naval Architecture.
- 2-4 years of experience.
- This position is contingent upon your ability to obtain/maintain/transfer your Secret clearance. (Post employment)
- Familiarity in consulting directly with military customers.
- Strong knowledge of relevant tools, equipment, hardware, and software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite programs; Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to travel 10%
- Familiarity in requirements management and systems engineering modeling tools.
- Experience in acquisition programs for military systems.
- Willing to learn about DoD risk management. Serco will train.

Serco supports the US Navy as a prime for their NAVSEA 05, PMS 406 Program providing engineering support throughout the various phases of ship design, acquisition, and support from concept studies to preliminary design, contract design, detailed design and construction, and life cycle support.
