About this role:


Due to the company's consistent growth, WORKS by Jesse DeBenedictis is currently searching for an experienced Procurement Manager to join our team.

The Procurement Manager is responsible for sourcing and buying materials and services for the Company.

The ultimate goal is finding cost-effective deals, managing suppliers and purchase orders so the craftsmen and project managers may focus on their projects.


Qualifications:

The successful applicant will possess the following qualifications.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction procurement
  • Strong research skills
  • Analytical skills
  • Ability to negotiate contracts
  • Selfstarter
  • The talent to continuously maintain a high level of customer service and a strong work ethic.
  • Exceptional communication skills written, verbal, and presentation.
  • Previous experience using construction management software as well as solid technical skills including database management, Microsoft Office especially Excel, and Word.
  • A thorough understanding of building/remodeling, project estimating, construction terminology, and processes.
  • Exceptional organization and tracking abilities.
  • The ability to work both independently and as a member of a collaborative team.
  • An exceptional level of professionalism at all times.
  • The ability to travel 45 minutes to 1 hour outside of Beverly to various job sites, if needed.
  • This position is an office and field hybrid and will require the physical agility to maneuver in both environments. Managing jobs from the planning stages through the build requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, bend, crouch, and drive throughout the day or for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities:


Procurement:


  • Meet with supervisors and project manager to understand the material needs for each project
  • Forecast needs and supplies
  • Review requests for proposals (RFPs). Oversee the supply chain management from initial requisition to delivery and beyond.
  • Issue Supplier & Sub POs, track POs and ensure materials are delivered as needed
  • Train new employees and support team members as necessary
  • Manage and network supplier and sub relationships
  • Review and negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers
  • Research suppliers and vendors that meet the company's goals
  • Increase pool of vetted local, regional, and national suppliers
  • Develop list of preferred vendors and suppliers
  • Negotiate prices with suppliers & subs in order to acquire the most costeffective deals and to reduce the procurement expenses
  • Seek out and develop wholesale dealer relationships
  • Research and join GPOs (Group Purchasing Organization). These networks have the purchasing volume and buying power on par with a large company which lets them negotiate for better prices for their members.
  • Assist with opening accounts with these suppliers
  • Ensure supplier partners continue to meet the company's needs

  • Provide input for the company's Business Vision and promote a culture of quality, continuous improvement, high performance, and professionalism.
  • Develop strategies for improving employee relations.
  • Develop ways to improve production efficiency and profitability, including by continuously enhancing project supervision systems.
  • Assist in designing, implementing, and improving work procedures and systems.
  • Streamline administrative and project delivery procedures.
  • Design, implement, and improve systems to improve communication and cooperation.
  • Contribute to customer loyalty strategies and enhance client's experiences.
  • Seek out and foster relationships with quality, reliable trade contractors, vendors, and suppliers.
