- You have a BS degree in Business or Supply Chain paired with three to five years of experience in Planning/Procurement, Materials Management, or Commodity Management
- You have a strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems, as well as forecasting and demand planning systems
- With proficiency in the MS Office suite, you have intermediate to strong skills in MS Excel and can understand and manipulate data sets
- You have clear and effective communication skills, and can work cross-functionally at all levels of the organization toward a common goal
- You have strong administrative organizational and mathematical skills
- Purchase material for assigned product lines as required by the master schedule, in accordance with established planning procedures.
- Negotiate purchase order terms (price, payment terms, and delivery).
- Monitor status of open purchase orders to ensure timely delivery. Adjusts and expedites open purchase orders as necessary, communicating with suppliers to resolve availability issues
- Manages supplier relationships, evaluates vendor performance and actively identifies areas of opportunity for cost reduction and other supply improvements.
- Researches and identifies potential new sources for new and existing products.
- Partner cross-functionally with: + Product Managers to ensure SKU and Inventory optimization.
- Marketing Department supporting new product launches and providing recommendations for alternate solutions or supply options where needed.
- Operations expediting and facilitating PO receipts and inventory accuracy.
- Customer Service regarding order accuracy or changes and providing alternative solutions to fulfill backorders.
- Reviews MRP messages for accuracy and takes appropriate action on exceptions.
- Monitors system planning parameters (safety stocks, order minimums, days of supply, lead times, etc.) and makes or recommends updates as necessary to maintain optimal system performance.
- Performs necessary actions related to Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) for assigned product lines.
