ADS partners with artists, photographers, and large print-on-demand companies to print, manufacture, and ship unique, personalized products on a variety of substrates including glass, metal, wood, acrylic, plastic, canvas, and têxtiles.
Summary of Position
The Production Supervisor is responsible for managing the team and tasks related to production for all assigned products in order to meet production deadlines and cost objectives.
To excel in this position, you must be able to prioritize the daily production of an array of low-volume products, as well as assign tasks and manage multiple people working on different products simultaneously.
In addition, you must be able to cultivate a fun, supportive, coaching environment for your team.Duties and responsibilities
- Support, coach, and motivate the team to ensure tasks are completed within productivity targets while meeting stringent quality standards
- Monitor and evaluate daily order volume to assign production tasks accordingly
- Manage schedules, timeoff requests, and conduct quarterly performance reviews for team
- Communicate with and schedule supply needs with appropriate supervisors (conversion, warehouse, printing, etc.)
- Maintain and report inventory for the department
- Maintain cleanliness of department
- Adhere to and comply with all health and safety standards and ensure team members do as well
- Support other production departments as necessary
- Respond favorably to both implicit and explicit instruction, taking ownership through solutionoriented, proactive leadership
Required Skills, Education, and Experience
- 2+ years in a leadership position overseeing a team of at least 3 people
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with team members and management
- Experienced multitasker who demonstrates patience in coaching and training team members
- Highly organized, detailoriented and adaptable
- Works well on a team and has a "cando" attitude
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting, standing, and/or performing repetitive tasks
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds at a time
- Must be able to work in a fastpaced environment
- Must be able to stand, bend, squat, lift, etc.
