Overview


The Office of Global Partnerships (GP) is seeking a set of dynamic professionals to provide administrative support to the office.

GP is the U.S. government leader in private sector engagement.

GP's mission is to conduct private sector engagement and build and institutionalize public-private partnerships that advance the Department of State's foreign policy goals.

GP is the entry point for collaboration between the U.S. Department of State, the public and private sectors, and civil society.

External private sector organizations include but are not limited to the following:
for-profit businesses, trade associations, private philanthropy, foundations, academic institutions, faith-based groups, and other non-governmental organizations.


Responsibilities:


The Contractor shall provide key administration, operational and events management support to GP, as well as develop and implement strategy and content for outreach campaigns and manage social media engagement.

The Contractor shall also provide general office support for a variety of administrative tasks.

  • Develop and implement strategic communications plans for individual GP partnerships and initiatives and develop content for the office's broader outreach and communications.
  • Design, edit, and create content for onepagers, toolkits, and distribution lists to inform Department staff and engage external stakeholders of GP partnerships and initiatives.
  • Conduct social media engagement to advance GP's communications plan(s), establishes engagement targets, and tracks and reports analytics to GP management.
  • Develop communication plans for major events and policy announcements, advising the Senior Official/Communications Director on the best course of action on issues related to private sector engagement and partnerships.
  • Manage all aspects of meeting, workshop and other convening administration and facilitation.
  • Adhere to the Department of State's Branding Guidelines.
  • Provide logístical support for onsite and offsite (domestic or international) meetings, workshops, and other convenings.
  • Design, edit, format, print, prepare, assemble, and distribute relevant documents, marketing collateral, folders, and presentations.
  • Supply full range of audiovisual services to support inperson and virtual meetings, workshops, and convenings.
  • Draft media notes, social media posts, and other content public communication.
  • Carry out special projects and other duties as required.

Qualifications:


  • A bachelor's degree plus at least three years of related work experience OR a master's degree
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience developing and implementing strategic communications plans.
  • Experience in an office environment, preferably within the U.S. government.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; must be able to work well with senior officials, staff, and interns.
  • Strong organizations skills, a customer service orientation and excellent execution and follow through skills.
  • Knowledge of U.S. society, foreign relations, and world events.
  • Knowledge of the media environment as well as the principles and techniques of journalism.
  • Ability to understand trends in public and media attitudes.
  • Experience using qualitative and quantitative techniques for analyzing and measuring the effectiveness of programs.
  • Strong graphic design, and photo and video editing skills.
  • Experience developing and implementing social media campaigns.
  • Experience developing remarks, social media and other messaging products.
  • Experience with events management.
  • Experience using virtual meeting platforms, i.e. Zoom, Teams, WebEx.

Job Types:

Pay:
$85, $95,000.00 per year
