    Job Description

    As an Estimator with Heritage Design + Supply, your main responsibilities will be to estimate the work of Flooring projects by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related information.

    Key Responsibilities and Duties

    • Review vendor portals regularly to source potential projects that may be a good fit for Heritage Design + Supply Flooring teams.
    • Review and analyze blueprints to assist with estimating materials and quantities and provide to the assigned sales team member to determine following up with prospects.
    • Interact with the COO, CRO, Operations Manager, and Sales team regularly to ensure alignment of activities and goals.
    • Communicate to management regularly on bidding activities and to build quotes
    • Perform complex analysis of collected data and metrics.
    • Conduct complex risk analysis to help with decision making.
    • Create and present reports to sales and management, as needed.
    • Build and maintain long-term relationships with the key vendors
    • Perform other related duties as assigned.

    Required Qualifications and Skills

    • BA in construction science or similar relevant field
    • Minimum of two years' experience as construction estimator, with strong proficiency in reading blueprints
    • In-depth knowledge of project management or construction management
    • Hands-on experience with complex data research activities
    • Strong math competencies and materials planning experience
    • Good understanding of data analysis methods
    • Familiarity with computer programs such as PlanSwift and TakeOff
    • Good time-management skills
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Critical-thinker and problem-solver

    Physical Requirements:

    • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    • Primarily an in-office role with occasional site visits.
    • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
