(UHS), is committed to providing intensive mental health services to children, adolescents and adults as well as detox and substance abuse programs for adults.

Our mental health facility provides safe and effective inpatient treatment to assist individuals in leading more productive and fulfilling lives.

The facility is located on a beautiful 14-acre campus in Orlando, Florida, and includes 112 licensed beds. We are currently seeking qualified professionals with active/clear license in the state of Florida. Previous experience in a psychiatric facility or rehabilitation program is required.


Job Summary


Under the direction of the Director of Admissions Department, the
Supervisor of Intake assures smooth and orderly processes are followed for responding to Intake calls, referrals, and admission into the hospital.

Intake Supervisor is accountable for assisting in management of the department, providing supervision for Intake Staff, crisis intervention, and responding to referrals appropriately.

This position interfaces closely with both internal hospital staff, facility physicians, as well as referring hospitals, patients, families, and community referral sources.

The working position of Intake Supervisor will assist in daily administrative duties, assist the Admissions Director in assigned tasks, complete Intake Assessor and duties as well as Admissions Coordinator as needed within department.

The position of Intake Supervisor requires skill of providing effective leadership within the Admissions Department and the ability to organize Admission staff to effectively and timely serve patients, families, referral sources through the referral and Admission process.

This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.

This includes assisting the Director of Admissions with interviewing, hiring, and training of new employees as well as appraising performance, disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.


Qualifications:

Qualifications:
Clinical licensure.


Education:
Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.


Experience: 1-3 years of experience preferred in psychiatric health care. Working knowledge of DSM-V diagnostic criteria, mental status exam, and addiction and recovery field. Prior management experience preferred.


Licensure/Certification:
LCSW or LMHC

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Excellent communication skills, i.e., verbal and written. Ability to multi-task and demonstrate critical thinking skills. Demonstrates an understanding of funding entities. Thorough knowledge of psychiatric services provided by the hospital. Ability to work flexible hours. Requires understanding of computers, accurate data entry skills, the ability to pull computer based reports, analyze data, and make decisions. Knowledge of insurance contracts and payors. Knowledge of precertification for inpatient hospitalization. Working knowledge of DSM-V diagnostic criteria, mental status exam, and addiction and recovery field.


Position requires ability to determine suitability of admission to the hospital based on clinical criteria and be able to effectively staff with physician.

Skill set to prioritize, assign tasks, and hold staff accountable for their completion. Will also need to be able to make independent and responsible decisions. Position require ability to work under stressful circumstance, with frequent interruptions, and time focused processes. Service excellence is a must.
