Description

As the Plant Utilities Supervisor, you will oversee the operation, maintenance, and management of all plant utility systems, including Anhydrous Ammonia Refrigeration, Plant Water, Steam Generation, Pneumatic, Fire Protection, and HVAC Systems.

This pivotal role involves leading a team of night shift technicians, ensuring adherence to safety regulations, and maintaining compliance with OSHA and EPA standards through the Process Safety Management program.

• Lead and ensure team adherence to Safety and Food Safety policies.
• Possess indepth mechanical knowledge to train employees and provide troubleshooting assistance.
• Establish and maintain an efficient onboarding training program.
• Utilize CMMS/SAP system for data entry and work management.
• Provide support for technicians through preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Oversee daily safety meetings and supervisor rounds.
• Lead plant audits and collaborate interdepartmentally to meet customer needs.
• Initiate orders for parts/materials and ensure adequate PM procedures/schedules.
• Supervise employees to guarantee acceptable productivity and job performance.
• Participate in and possess a comprehensive understanding of the Process Safety Management program.
• Drive continuous improvement and personnel development.
• Recommend, develop, and implement process improvement projects.
• Act as a key member of the overall facility Engineering & Maintenance organization.
• Identify, evaluate, and recommend alternative maintenance support resources and services.
• Implement organizational change in support of company goals while maintaining ethical standards.

• High school diploma or equivalent. Technical training in Industrial Refrigeration.
• 5 years of prior experience in a mechanical/refrigerationrelated field, including knowledge of ammonia refrigeration processes.
• Preferably have experience within the food processing and packaging industry.
• Experience with CCMS systems and Microsoft Office Systems.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• 05% travel to corporate headquarters, training, other facilities, and equipment vendors.

• Additional experience in Industrial Refrigeration.
• Previous experience in the food processing and packaging industry.
• Advanced proficiency in CCMS systems and Microsoft Office Systems.
• Further certifications or training related to utilities management.
