Position Summary
This internship will perform complex (journey-level) clerical work. Works under general supervision, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. This internship will provide an opportunity to learn about the Statewide Strategic Transformation and IT Modernization program.

The individual in this role will provide technical assistance work supporting the Chief Technology division of DIR and assist with the Statewide IT Project Delivery and IT Transformation programs.

Work involves research, analysis and reporting on statewide IT projects, development of various program related webinars and training and other program related duties.


  • Track, monitor, and report on agency IT Major Information Resources Projects and Modernization strategy for the CTO division.
  • Work with the team to successfully complete recording and posting of webinars and training.
  • Research and analyze applicable statutes, including legislative appropriations, and policies to help determine impacts to Statewide IT Project Management and Modernization/Transformation.
  • Participate in the team's training and education efforts preparation and implementation.
  • Develops and edits various presentations and promotional materials for CTO events.
  • Develops and publishes various CTO reports and provides updates to policies, processes and procedures as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

  • A student currently enrolled in a college or university with a major or course work in IT, communications, journalism, liberal arts, government, political science, or a related field.
  • Must possess academic performance that is considered in good academic standing by college/university standards.
