- Assist with coordinating all visits with Post, and organize the shipment of tools and materials to arrive prior to the beginning of the visit, after each visit is confirmed.
- Discuss your planned work schedule with the Post Point-of-Contact (POC) to verify that there aren't any scheduling conflicts to work around. Also inform the POC that you will be asking him/her to sign your FTS documenting your work at the conclusion of each week.
- Discuss the status of the workforce at Post, and whether or not they will be available to assist in the work performed, and benefit from some hands-on learning opportunities.
- Complete your SOW during each visit, which includes the following tasks: Maintain security requirements and countermeasures that pertain to shielded enclosures and shielded environments Perform or oversee the performance of attenuation testing and evaluation on shielded enclosures to identify and repair potential threats to and vulnerabilities of the integrity of the equipment at Post. Complete attenuation evaluation and repairs to areas of low performance on the equipment. Set up and operate Radio Frequency signal transmitter and receiver equipment to locate, identify, and record areas of attenuation performance deficiencies. Make the necessary repairs to achieve specified attenuation performance levels. Conduct a final attenuation evaluation and record results after maintenance and repairs are completed. Maintain and repair the equipment structural attenuation integrity. Perform visual and attenuation evaluations, and complete repairs, to areas of low attenuation performance of the enclosure structural framing and panels including re-torqueing screws, replacing shim stock, bronze wool stuffing at framing intersections and corner caps and repairing any untreated or abandoned holes or penetrations. Maintain and repair enclosure doors to achieve proper function while preserving the specified attenuation levels. Perform diagnostic evaluation to identify issues and complete repairs to the electronic controls systems, motorized actuators, mechanical latch/unlatch and emergency release assemblies of automatic and semi-automatic doors. Perform diagnostic evaluation to identify issues and complete repairs with mechanical latch/unlatch assemblies of manual doors. Perform general maintenance cleaning and lubrication of the door's attenuating finger-stock and knife-edges mating surfaces. Perform complete replacement of the door's finger-stock and monel rope gasket including complete cleaning of finger-stock pocket. Perform general maintenance cleaning and re-lubrication of doors latch assemblies. Maintain and repair enclosure support system penetration treatments and device's attenuation integrity. Perform visual and attenuation evaluations and complete repairs to areas of low attenuation performance, and if necessary, retighten flange nuts on pipe penetrations and screws on clean bulkhead of the enclosure power filter. Perform visual and attenuation evaluations and complete repairs to areas of low attenuation performance and if necessary cleaning of the enclosure HVAC honeycomb waveguide assemblies. Perform visual and attenuation evaluations and complete repairs to areas of low attenuation performance and if necessary tighten the nuts of enclosure single point ground stud. Perform visual and attenuation evaluations and complete repairs to areas of low attenuation performance and if necessary remove any existing rust and/or oxidation as well as replace any missing pipe insulation on the enclosure cold water supply and return pipe penetration and associated piping. Perform visual and attenuation evaluations and complete repairs to areas of low attenuation performance and if necessary retighten flange nuts and core plugs on enclosure fiber optic pass through waveguides. Provide technical training and guidance to assisting personnel regarding maintenance procedures and the use of RF evaluation equipment and techniques for testing enclosures to obtain and sustain maximum performance and specified attenuation levels
- Complete trip report including: Attenuation evaluation logs List of structural repairs made to the equpiment and materials used List of door maintenance performed and replacement parts and materials used List of support systems penetration repairs and materials used List of training provided to post personnel
- Notify your Field Supervisor of any issues, questions, or concerns that you have, or may need assistance with.
- Ensure that all areas visited, or where work was performed, are properly cleaned and organized.
- Wear proper Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) at all time when working on equipment.
- Review all tickets, Electronic Country Clearances (eCC's), and passports as they are received from the office, to verify that there are no issues or mistakes made that need to be resolved.
- Ensure that the POC is informed of and kept up-to-date regarding any issues that are encountered during the visit. These could be issues related to the functionality of equipment, access issues, parts/materials needed, etc.
- Attend Out-Brief Meeting with all Team Members to relay the results of the training and preventative/corrective maintenance that you completed. Relay any remaining deficiencies that you were not able to resolve during the visit, as well as the BOM for any parts recommended, and the next steps Post needs to take to resolve the issues in question.
- Complete a Field Time Summary documenting any hours worked, and have your POC sign it. Send a copy of the signed FTS to your Field Supervisor each week.
- Discuss any concerns to plan around for your next break cycle with Office Staff. Remember to be flexible, and work with our Teammates to find a time that is agreeable for everyone.
- Complete a weekly Trip Expense Report (TER) to document all M&IE claimed, and any reimbursable expenses.
- Document your time using Deltek on a daily basis, ensuring that you use the correct charge codes.
- Read and remain up-to-date on all expectations and duties outlined in the Field Operations Manual that pertain to you or your position.
- Stay up-to-date on your licenses and any applicable building codes.
- Complete a Danger Pay Verification form and have it signed by Post, if necessary.
- Send back any passports you don't need to the IMAP Travel Manager ASAP to allow future visas to be procured. Work with your Team Leader to send them back together, if possible. Verify that any passports you send back don't have visas that you need for your current trip, or any upcoming trips.

- Complete and accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Must possess or have the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance.
- Must have the physical ability to travel overseas.
- Must be able to pass a physical examination for duty.
- Must be able to work on ladders, access rooftops and other hard to reach areas, and be able to lift and carry materials and tools in excess of 25 lbs.
- Must be familiar with the requirements outlined by NEMA, OSHA, NFPA 70 (E), and other safety regulations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of general construction methodologies, techniques, management and safety.
- Mastery of technical electronics methods, techniques, procedures, and methodologies sufficient to enable the incumbent to conduct or oversee the conduct of a broad range of projects to identify electronic issues that compromise of the integrity of systems associated with shielded enclosures and environments.
- Knowledge of facility support systems (Electrical, HVAC and Voice/Data) and the maintenance techniques required to maintain such systems.
- Operating radio frequency generation and spectrum analyzer equipment.
- Operating sound generation and level measuring equipment.
- Problem-solving skills, and the ability to negotiate effectively with management to accept and implement recommendations where proposals may involve substantial resources.
- Working with internal and external customers and stakeholders to assess needs, provide information or assistance, resolve problems, or satisfy expectations, and a commitment to strong customer service.
- Oral and written communications skills in order to confer with and advise technical and program specialists, contractors and officials throughout the Department on assigned projects.

The IMAP Radio Frequency Technician is responsible for completing preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance in accordance with the IMAP Shielded Enclosure scope of work as described below.

Additionally, Facilities Specialists are required to meet the below qualifications to be eligible for the positions described:
Level 1 – Requires high school diploma or GED equivalent and at least 3-5 years of related experience as a Facilities Specialist. Performs testing and maintenance according to the IMAP Classified System Installation (CSI) SOW, with supervision from a Level 2 Facilities Specialist, or an OBO representative. Able to troubleshoot and resolve issues with most tasks/equipment listed in the SOW without supervision. Able to source and recommend required maintenance equipment and supplies/materials as required to complete maintenance tasks and improve processes/efficiencies.
Level 2 – Requires high school diploma or GED equivalent and at least 5+ years of related experience as a Facilities Specialist. In addition to the ability to perform all the tasks/duties associated with a Level 1 Facilities Specialist, expected to perform the duties of a team leader. This includes resolving logistical issues that arise, relaying required information to the IMAP Office and OBO, and providing training/guidance to Level 1 Facilities Specialists. Able to use all resources available to resolve any issues faced while completing the SOW. Expected to be an ambassador for the IMAP contract in all situations, and go above and beyond to improve and optimize program operations.
