    Our West geography is looking for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to play a vital role on a variety of exciting site development and civil infrastructure projects. This position can be based in San Francisco, Los Angeles or Seattle with a preference for Los Angeles.

    **Responsibilities:**

    + Lead design of site development, utilities, roadway, drainage and other key elements of civil engineering projects

    + Oversee the production of design documents and leading a team of civil engineers working on a variety of projects

    + Work with the local agencies to understand their land use and permit processes

    + Coordinate with associated disciplines including SMEP, architecture and landscape architecture, geotechnical engineering, transportation planning, urban planning, environmental engineering, and cost engineering

    + Perform construction phase engineering support and site supervision

    + Participate in proposal writing and marketing activities

    + Develop relationships with existing clients and project collaborators

    + Present technical material in traditional and innovative ways for review by technical and non-technical audiences

    + Mentor staff and providing training to junior technical staff

    **Qualifications:**

    + Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering; Masters Degree preferred.

    + California PE license preferred

    + 8+ years of experience in civil engineering/site development

    + Knowledge of core civil engineering fundamentals such as hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, low impact development, utility design, grading and earthwork, roadway and geometric alignments, and accessibility standards.

    + Working knowledge of civil engineering design and analysis software, particularly AutoCAD Civil 3D.

    + Experience working with local authorities and navigating their permit processes

    + Experience managing project delivery and collaborating with contractors, project owners, and outside consultants

    + A commitment to sustainable design practices

    + Strong interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to build consensus among clients and teammates alike

    **Hiring Range** - The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in Los Angeles is **$120,000 to $160,000** per year. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of Los Angeles will differ.
