    Description

    Job Description

    • Be ready to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and different shifts.
    • Ensure compliance with and completion of daily operational procedures by the Housekeeping Department.
    • Maintain full knowledge of and adhere to all Shaner Hotels, franchise, and hotel/departmental policies, ensuring the housekeeping team is also informed.
    • Address guest concerns to guarantee guest satisfaction.
    • Train and develop team members, ensuring all necessary training is completed following standards.
    • Assess daily business levels, anticipate critical situations, and plan effective solutions to expedite these situations.
    • Support staff in their roles to provide the best service to guests.
    • Monitor and uphold cleanliness, sanitation, and organization in assigned areas.
    • Supervise all aspects of employee performance to maintain productivity and a quality work environment.
    • Carry out housekeeping, laundry, and houseperson duties when required.
    • Perform any other assigned tasks.

    Responsibilities

    Maintain high-quality guest services through managing the housekeeping department and upholding established standards and procedures of Shaner and/or franchise. Direct, implement, and uphold a strong service and management philosophy to guide staff effectively.

    Qualifications

    • At least 1 year of housekeeping experience in the hospitality industry.
    • Ability to understand documents like safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
    • Effective communication with guests, management, and colleagues.
    • High school diploma or equivalent, some college education preferred.
    • Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
    • Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, chemical handling requirements, and equipment usage.
