Responsible for performing routine building maintenance of Agency facilities.

Performs building maintenance tasks in the following fields:
carpentry, painting, minor electrical, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC); plumbing; etc. This is a full-time, benefit eligible position.

Requirements:


  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Possess a valid Michigan driver's license with a clear driving record and must be minimum of 23 years old with five years of driving experience and no restrictions.
  • Three years' experience in facility maintenance preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job listed above.
  • A requirement of the job is to be able to pass the fingerprinting background check to be able to work with our school sites.

Responsibilities:


  • Conducts regular inspections of buildings and grounds to makes notes and recommendations for maintenance and repair issues using a preestablished check sheet.
  • Manages work orders through a facilities ticketing system.
  • Performs minor electrical maintenance to include but not be limited to replacement or repair of fixtures (e.g. wall switches and outlets, incandescent and fluorescent bulbs and tubes, ballast, sockets, fuses, minor appliances, cords, etc.).
  • Performs minor plumbing maintenance (e.g. replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging of drains, trenching and laying new lines, replacing drain hoses on washers and similar devices, etc.)
  • Performs minor painting, carpentry and masonry work.
  • Performs inventory and maintenance of tools and equipment
  • Ensures the tools and equipment remain in good working condition and that the Cherry Health is protected against loss
  • As needed cleans interior of buildings, parking lots, and other work areas
  • Other duties as assigned
