    Description


    Rí Rá (roughly translated as "Good Fun") has been a labor of love for Ciaran Sheehan and David Kelly, two childhood friends from Ireland, since they emigrated to the USA in the 1990's.

    The duo's mission was to create a gathering place like those pubs that they knew so well from their hometowns in Ireland.

    Such a place would have authentic Irish interiors, would be welcoming to all and would act as a "social hub" for the local community; a "Real Irish Local".

    Rí Rá in Uptown Charlotte, NC, encompasses a fantastic, 2-storey, community oriented pub & restaurant, an outdoor deck, as well as two other brands (the Rí Rá Sandwich Shop and Uptown Coffee Co.) We want people who support our Mission (to "Create Experiences That People Love") and want to have fun in achieving it

    Who You Are

    • You enjoy interacting and generating a high level of connection with guests; with the guest experience always at the forefront of your mind
    • You take pride in your position, from the quality of service and hospitality that you provide, to the product that you are serving
    • You are a "Team Player", considerate to the experience of all guests, as well as the experience of your fellow employees
    • You have strong organization and communication skills, as well as the ability to multitask
    • You understand "Genuine" hospitality
    • You have a high level of passion for, and strong knowledge of, food and beverage
    • You have experience in a highvolume, fullservice restaurant setting
    • You ideally have TIPs alcohol procedures certification, alongside any State or County required license requirements for the service of food and alcohol
    What You Will be Doing

    • Making food and beverage recommendations to guests to best suit their preferences and personal tastes
    • Serving food and beverages to guests in a friendly, timely and accurate manner within an assigned section
    • Interacting with guests
    • Adhering to all local and state laws regarding the service of alcohol and food; including Steps of Service and alcohol service standards
    • Ensuring that the section, and associated stations / areas are kept stocked and are maintained in an organized, clean and sanitary manner
    • Ensuring that all setup and breakdown tasks are completed to standard
    • Assisting in representing the brand and business at the local level
