Description

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The IT Technician provides support leveraged through various backend platforms to meet and exceed goals and expectations that have been stipulated by clients. While support is primarily performed through remote methods, in-house desktop and laptop repair for both hardware and software is also part of the position.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIRED:

A minimum of an Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
CompTIA A+ Certification or working towards
Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) or working towards

YEARS EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of three years of experience in a help desk support role, preferably in a manufacturing environment

SKILLS REQUIRED:

Proficient oral and written communication.
Ability to problem solve.
Flexibility in a dynamic work environment.
Multitasking and completing projects according to scheduled deadlines.

DUTIES/WORK PERFORMED:

Manage and resolve incoming for IT issues through the Helpdesk/ticketing system.
Provide onsite support to clients as needed based on tasks.
Escalate unresolvable tickets to MSSP Help Desk Technicians or management.
Responsible for the configuration, installations, upgrades and maintenance, service, and inventory of laptops/desktops, printers, servers, scanners, telephones, and other IT related equipment (i.e., monitor, keyboard, mouse, hard drive, etc.).
Maintain user PCs, including upgrades and configuration as needed.
Provide assistance with onboarding of new users.
Manage basic components of Office 365, Whitelisting, Mail Tracing, Polices, User Licensing
Manage cybersecurity training and mitigation efforts via company specific systems, policies, and procedures.
Perform preventative maintenance on user hardware and servers.
Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
