The right person for this position enjoys interacting with patients, working as part of a team, is reliable, honest and ready to join a growing OBGYN facility.

Two part time positions available in Altamonte Springs office.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Warmly welcome patients and visitors in person or on the telephone.
  • Assist patients in completing all necessary forms and documentation
  • Keeps patient appointments on schedule by moving through the appointment process
  • Comforts patients by anticipating anxieties and concerns, ie communicating wait times
  • Politely answering patient questions whether in person or over the phone.
  • Transferring calls as required
  • Preserving the reception area in a clean and neat state.
  • Accurately maintaining patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
  • Being comfortable reviewing insurance benefits with patients and collecting copays/coinsurance/deductible responsibilities.
  • Verifying patient insurance eligibility and obtaining prior authorization as needed.
  • Maintains business office inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory level and anticipating needed supplies.
  • Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information.
  • Maintains operations by following policies and procedures.
  • Consistently creating a positive work environment by being teamoriented and patient focused.

Requirements:


  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Medical Receptionist role, required.
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA regulations, ICD and CPT coding.
  • Bilingual speaker (Spanish and English) is a plus
  • Innovative thinker with strong conceptual and problemsolving skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to multitask.
  • Strong organizational, administrative and planning skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to use discretion while working with sensitive information.
  • Excellent documentation, communication and IT skills.
  • Passionate about healthcare excellence and customer service.

  • Weekends as needed
