We are currently seeking a Standard Consumable Buyer - Oils & Chemicals (M/F/d) for our client at the Hamburg site on a temporary basis.

There is potential for permanent employment based on suitability for the role.

What we offer:

    €71,000 and
    €87,000 gross per year

Your responsibilities:

  • Identifying and sourcing new suppliers
  • Managing relationships with strategic suppliers for a specific subcommodity
  • Negotiating, implementing, and monitoring national and international frame contracts
  • Evaluating supplier performance and taking corrective actions when necessary
  • Tracking savings related to demand management and procurement performance

Your qualifications:

  • Completed commercial apprenticeship (wholesale and foreign trade)
  • Degree in business administration, international management, or economics
  • Previous experience in purchasing and supplier/contract management
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Basic knowledge of German, French is a plus
  • Experience in air freight is an advantage
  • Knowledge of SAP is desirable
