Key Responsibilities:


  • Create a Data Stewardship Playbook to standardize the roles & responsibilities of data leads for implementing the data governance activities required to drive data quality improvements.
  • Focus on six areas of master data domains: Finance, Product, Item, Customer, Account, and Vendor.
  • Collaborates with system owners, IT, and IS to ensure effective data management throughout the organization.
  • Develops and manages a process for reviewing, tracking, resolving, and escalating identified data quality issues across data domains, ensuring consistent review and resolution.
  • Define and operationalize Enterprise Stewardship throughout the data life cycle including creating data dictionaries, documenting data quality rules, monitoring data quality exceptions, remediating data issues, and drafting data standards.

Supervisory Responsibilities:


  • Your supervisory responsibilities concerning personnel revolve around building and leading a highperforming team of data governance and data quality professionals. You will be tasked with recruiting top talent, providing mentorship, coaching to team members, and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Your role includes fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting professional development opportunities, and ensuring that team members have the necessary resources and support to excel in their roles.
  • Additionally, you will manage conflict resolution, set clear expectations, and align individual goals with the overall data governance objectives of the organization.

Skill/Job Requirements:


  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience and at least 3 years of management experience.
  • Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and best practices is necessary, DAMA preferred.
  • Experience developing data management strategy and operating models to leverage data as a strategic asset to fuel growth
  • Experience driving change for data governance including project/program management, change management and change readiness, solution development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, and data quality
  • Knowledge of data technology initiatives and core data management strategies and best practices

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Minimum B.S., M.S., in Computer Science, Statistics, Business Administration, Computer Information, Data Science, or related area
  • 8+ years of related and progressive experience in Data Governance, Data Quality Management, Business Intelligence (BI), Data Analytics, and related fields
  • Experience in managing master data domains (customer, supplier, item, finance, product, privacy, etc.)
  • Experience in drafting and managing data policies, business data processes, business glossaries, and data dictionaries
  • Thorough knowledge of data governance framework including data warehouse, metadata management, data quality, reference data/master data, data quality and data modeling
  • Experience with enterprise source systems and of systems that consume core and reference data including CRM, ERP, data warehouse. Strong understanding of enterprise integration.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to effectively present technical topics to individuals and groups with potentially varied levels of technical sophistication
