Job Overview:


Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of production workers to ensure smooth operations
• Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards
• Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands
• Train and mentor production staff on proper techniques and procedures
• Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and quality control, to resolve production issues
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery to identify maintenance needs
• Implement lean manufacturing principles to optimize productivity and minimize waste
• Maintain accurate production records and reports

Essential Functions:

Safety

• Promote a 'Zero Injury' culture
• Ensure safe working conditions and safe work behavior

Quality

• Lead defect reduction and errorproofing
• Maintain standardized work and process control plans
• Ensure compliance to quality policies and procedures

Delivery

• Maintain/improve schedule attainment and fill rate targets
• Lead equipment uptime improvement and line downtime reduction

Cost

• Lead cost reduction in labor, scrap and overtime
• Engage team in eliminating/reducing nonvalue add activities

People

• Work with Production Manager and Human Resources to improve employee relations, work environment and teamwork
• Utilize effective verbal and written communication with all levels of the organization to build trust and encourage cooperation towards common goals
• Implement training plans to develop the skills of the team

Continuous Improvement

• Maintain KPIs to accurately measure performance and drive daily improvement
• Effectively identify problems, utilize root cause analysis and problem solving tools to implement corrective actions
• Lead and participate in kaizen activities for continuous improvement

Experience:

• Previous experience in a supervisory role in a manufacturing environment is required
• Experience working in a warehouse setting is preferred
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies

Pay:
$ $30.00 per hour
