    School Registered Nurse (RN)- Maple Valley, WA

    Position Overview:
    We are seeking a compassionate and skilled RN to support the health and well-being of an elementary school student with complex medical needs. The student is non-ambulatory and wheelchair-dependent, requiring total care. The participate in both general and special education classrooms and work with physical therapists (PT), occupational therapists (OT), and speech-language pathologists (SLP).

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide total care for a non-ambulatory student, including mobility assistance and personal hygiene.
    • Manage and administer feeding via a feeding tube and pump.
    • Monitor and respond to seizure activity, including the administration of rescue medications as prescribed.
    • Support the student's participation in both general education and special education settings.
    • maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with school policies and state regulations.
    • Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations governing school nursing practice, as well as state and federal laws related to student transportation and medical care.
    • Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other school staff to ensure coordinated care.
    Job Qualifications:
    • Bachelors or Associates Degree in Nursing
    • Must have active WashingtonRN License or Compact License
    • Must be CPR and BLS certified
    • Knowledge of feeding tube and pump management
    • Previous experience in pediatrics or schools preferred.
