    **Hybrid - 2 days onsite in Charlotte, NC.**

    Our utilities client is looking for a Software Engineer to join their team.

    Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

    Pay Rate: $ $57.00/hr on W2

    Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be taken into account when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting is a reflection of a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided pay range.

    W2 employees of Eliassen Group who are regularly scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week are eligible for the following benefits: medical (choice of 3 plans), dental, vision, pre-tax accounts, other voluntary benefits including life and disability insurance, 401(k) with match, and sick time if required by law in the worked-in state/locality.

    Responsibilities of the Software Engineer:
    • Design and build complex software solutions using agile/XP/TDD
    • Program well-designed, efficient code with minimal supervision
    • Build cloud native software solutions targeting PCF, Azure, AWS, Esri, mobile iOS/Android, etc.
    • Clearly communicate progress and identify blocking issues
    • Participate in paired programming and code reviews with seniors to expand knowledge and understanding of software engineering
    • Complete independent research to refine best practices and present work to peers
    Requirements of the Software Engineer:
    • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and at least 3-5 years of experience in software development
    • Previous experience working in an Agile/XP environment
    • Previous experience turning user stories into workable solutions
    • Extensive experience building diverse software solutions
    • Experience and ability to manage spatial databases
    • Experience with and well versed in using database views, stored procedures, etc.
    • Experience working with one or more CI/CD stacks
    • Deep and solid understanding of APIs
    • Deep and solid understanding of cyber security principles
    • Understanding of cloud-native software engineering best practices
    • Understanding of functional programming and how to apply functional concepts in any language
    • Understanding of common attack vectors and methods to limit exposure
    • Ability to debug and avoid future problems by building more robust solutions
    • Ability to configure CI/CD tools for new products with limited guidance
    • Ability to leverage common security libraries applicable to their language stack
    • Familiarity with secure programming best practices
    • Familiarity and ability to comfortably work with multiple platforms
