Your Opportunity

Your Key Responsibilities
- You are expected to understand and work according to the requirements of the Stantec Safety Culture and in compliance with all Health and Safety rules and regulations for Stantec and its clients.
- Perform preliminary and detailed civil /structural analysis and design for concrete, steel, and masonry structures to applicable codes. Typical structures include heavy industrial infrastructure and industrial buildings.
- Support multidisciplinary teams on civil and structural engineering projects.
- Work with Professional Engineers and Designers on fitforpurpose designs that meet the client's needs and requests.
- Travel to project sites to complete site inspections, working closely with a Sr Structural Engineer.
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, along with excellent interpersonal abilities and team centered focus.
- Enthusiastic, selfstarter attitude with the ability to work independently.
- Experience in Heavy Industrial or the construction industry is an asset.
- Knowledge of relevant design codes and standards.
- Familiarity with Excel and Mathcad.
- Knowledge of STAAD Pro, SAP2000, and/or RISA3D is an asset.
- Knowledge of Abaqus, ANSYS, or LS-DYNA is an asset.
- Strong organizational skills, multitasking ability, and computer skills.
Education and Experience
- 0 to 4 years of engineering, design, and construction experience in heavy industry.
- A Masters Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Structural Engineering.
