Position Summary
1 year of medical front desk experience preferred. The Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for being the first point of contact as patients come into the office. They greet patients, check them in and answer any of their questions questions.

The Front Desk Receptionist will also be responsible for managing all incoming telephone calls as well as handling a number of administrative responsibilities.


  • The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Communicating with patients to set up and schedule appointments
  • Gathering and tracking medical information from patients
  • Organizing and inputting data into electronic health records
  • Inquiring about and processing patients' health insurance
  • Supporting office with administrative tasks as required
  • Communicating with internal team and providers to ensure patients are helped and everyday tasks are accomplished
  • Maintaining strictest confidentiality; adhering to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations
  • Performing other workrelated duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Knowledge of business office procedures
  • Ability to operate a computer, computer software, and basic office equipment
  • Ability to operate a multiline telephone system
  • Skill in answering a telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions
  • Proficient in English and Spanish (oral and written)
  • Willingness to learn
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees. and the public
  • Must be well organized and detailoriented

Pay:
$ $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
