    Shift:     Rotating
    Position Summary:
    Assess, plan, develop, implement and evaluate the Sterile Processing Department's educational programs for HSC Operational Components. Ensure effective communication and collaboration with departments and clinics utilizing Sterile Processing Department services. Uphold Hospital and departmental policies and procedures.

    Detailed responsibilities:
    • Identify educational needs and practice gaps of staff
    • Develop instructional programs and integrate research findings
    • Implement educational curricula using adult learning principles
    • Act as a preceptor for staff
    • Analyze program evaluations and monitor progress
    • Organize competency models and maintain quality of programs
    • Facilitate quality monitoring programs and assist in developing reports
    • Maintain professional competency and supervise staff
    • Collaborate with individuals and groups to promote quality outcomes
    • Utilize resources effectively and maintain program records
    • Establish open and effective communication with peers and stakeholders

    Qualifications

    Education: High School or GED Equivalent
    Experience: 3 years directly related experience
    Nonessential: Bilingual English/Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo
    Credentials: Sterile Processing Certification or Equivalent
    Physical Conditions: Exerting significant force to move objects or people
    Working Conditions: Exposure to hazardous materials requiring Personal Protective Equipment
