Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Yard Driver to join our team.

As a Yard Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to move freight within the yard and assist with loading and unloading duties.

This is a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of operations in our facility.


Duties:

• Operate commercial vehicles, including dump trucks, flatbeds, and forklifts, to transport freight within the yard
• Safely load and unload materials from trucks using appropriate equipment
• Follow established routes and schedules for efficient movement of goods
• Inspect vehicles before and after each shift to ensure they are in proper working condition
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies while operating vehicles
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, mileage, and fuel usage
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding any issues or delays

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Proven experience as a commercial driver, preferably with experience driving manual transmission vehicles
• Ability to operate various types of equipment such as forklifts and dump trucks
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and traffic laws
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks such as loading and unloading materials
• Flexibility to work different shifts as needed

Note:
This position requires regular physical activity, including lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions.

Pay:
$24.00 per hour
