Description

Responsibilities:


  • Oversee the successful execution of federal construction projects, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and federal regulations.
  • Maintain the project RFI and Submittal logs.
  • Maintain the project schedule, three weeks look ahead and lean board updated weekly.
  • Manage and plan crew workers, subcontractors, and suppliers with the Project Manager and customer to ensure efficient project completion within budget and schedule constraints.
  • Maintain a strong focus on onsite safety programs, ensuring compliance with all federal safety regulations and fostering a safetyfirst culture among the project team.
  • Conduct regular inspections to assess project progress, identify potential challenges, and implement effective solutions to maintain project momentum.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to address design changes, technical issues, and constructability challenges.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily logs, progress photos, progress reports, and asbuilt drawings, utilizing Microsoft 365 and Procore proficiency to manage project records effectively.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the construction team, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Always provide support to team members.

Requirements:


  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent in federal contracting, with specific experience on VA projects.
  • Must have valid certification in OSHA 30; USACE EM Plus).
  • Familiar with ICRA
  • Familiar with VA permit processing
  • Demonstrated expertise in tenant improvements, showcasing successful project delivery in these areas.
  • Indepth understanding of VA processes, specifications, and standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Procore, with the ability to effectively utilize these tools for project management and documentation.
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership abilities, inspiring and motivating the construction team to achieve project goals.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience with tenant improvements.
  • Experience with hospital work.
  • Experience with HVAC, Electrical, Drywall, Framing, Painting


  • QCM

  • Quality Control Management Training (Plus)

Additional Job Information:


Salary Range:
$90,000 - $105,000 annually
