Position:
Assembly Technician


Summary:

Position performs a variety of disassembly and assembly tasks on a range of products including complete turboshaft engines and gearboxes which are part of an aircraft engine.

Work is performed to Engine Manual and shop instruction documents. Mechanical ability and attention to detail are critical requirements for the role.


Primary Responsibilities:

Work with Engine Manuals, assembly documentation and other data to disassemble engines retired from service for component repair

  • Disassemble and reassemble turboshaft reduction gearboxes including; oil flowing, flushing of housings and building of gears, bearings, housings cases and seals
  • Perform dimensional calculations to fit and clearances requirements supporting assembly work using general hand measuring equipment

Qualifications:


  • Mechanical background or technician experience required
  • Automotive experience a plus
  • Autobody technician a plus
  • Experience in the aviation field or related work a plus
