TOUR - 12:00 A.M - 8:00 A.M

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Check in and register all incoming patients in EPIC using Check 2/15 for identification purposes.
  • Greet Patients.
  • Greet Visitors and follow the process for visitation, not limited to giving guest passes to visit patients.
  • Answer telephones and transfer to appropriate staff members.
  • Provide limited information to callers regarding patients.
  • Scan documents into EPIC.
  • Perform palm vein scanning.
  • Be able to work with other disciplines in the Emergency Department.
  • Be able to direct patients to other disciplines when requested and appropriate (i.e. SW, Managed Care).
  • Be able and available to stay at work when staffing requires it.
  • Follow all HIPAA rules.
  • Collect Copayments from patients when appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • A high school diploma or its educational equivalent; and
  • Six (6) months of full-time satisfactory clerical experience and/or experience interacting with the public, such as processing sales; taking, processing, and delivering orders; obtaining and dispensing information; listening to and resolving customers concerns, problems, and complaints; and/or performing related customer service activities.
