Description
OverviewThis position is responsible for the daily operations of the Radiology Department for the provision of imaging services at their respective campus.
The position is accountable for staff supervision while ensuring cost effective, high quality Radiology services across the department. Identifying and accomplishing program goals, action items and outcomes are also a part of this position.This position is responsible to maintain regulatory and professional standards/requirements, and support and maintain a cost effective, driven and customer-focused service.
Talent Pool; Allied HealthResponsibilities
Provides direction for imaging modalities to include: Diagnostic Radiology, MRI, CT, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, Interventional Radiology, and Radiology Administration by demonstrating leadership competencies.
Collaborates with physicians from Greensboro Radiology and other members of the medical staff to ensure quality comprehensive imaging services are delivered.
Develops goals and objectives to maximize utilization/productivity of staff to facilitate operational efficiency. Productivity Targets and Cost per Unit
Monitors and optimizes employee and patient satisfaction results. Recommends and implements action plans for improvement. Employee Engagement and Patient Satisfaction surveys are used to identify performance improvement opportunities.
Validates departmental orientation, skills fairs, technical and support competencies and staff development are completed annually and documented in employee
Assists/participates in the selection and supervision of personnel. Includes timely completion of all functions in Lawson HR and Performance Management applications.
Assists with budget development and monitoring of variances.
Qualifications
EDUCATION: Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
Graduate of a Radiology, Imaging or related educational program
Preferred
Bachelors degree EXPERIENCE:
Required:
Minimum of 3 years, Healthcare
Preferred:
3 years or more of clinical experience with leadership activities
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING: REQUIRED
ARRT (R) | Radiologic Technologist - Dx
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
Credentialed in a relevant field of radiologic technology and registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or other licensing body for imaging (MR, CT, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, Mammography, and Interventional) and AHA BLS CPR.
