- Assess and evaluate patients for diagnostic ultrasound services.
- Prepare equipment and accessories for procedures.
- Perform ultrasound procedures and related tasks.
- Provide patient education and support throughout the process.
- Communicate effectively with physicians and healthcare teams.
- Document findings accurately in the medical records.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care.
- Maintain equipment and report any issues promptly.
- Monitor supplies and contribute to quality management.
- Support process improvement initiatives.
- Provide guidance to students and interns.
- Complete any other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) certification.
- Diploma or certificate from an accredited medical sonography program.
- Up to two years of relevant experience.
- Technical competency in the specialty.
- American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
- Three or more years of experience.
- Additional relevant certifications.
