Office of Quality Assurance

  • Salary range: $59, $78, Reporting directly to the Director of Quality Assurance, the Inspection Coordinator, under general direction with wide latitude for independent initiative and judgment, will perform very responsible work in the planning, coordination, monitoring, evaluation, and making recommendations for the benefit of NYCHA residential and workplace communities.
  • Specific tasks include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Plan, coordinate, monitor, and/or evaluate programs that provide important community service and community centered activities throughout the Agency.
  • Conduct inperson and/or telephone interviews with employees and residents on how to improve customer service and simplify processes while achieving compliance with standard procedures.
  • Schedule and facilitate meetings with any other necessary NYCHA departments, resident leaders and NYCHA developments to obtain program, process, and procedural information to improve the lives of residents and employees.
  • Perform special projects, adhoc analysis, and program development, and prepare relevant reports and presentations as assigned.
  • Create, track, and maintain comprehensive reports; analyze and prepare reports for department.
  • Coordinate with NYCHA departments, developments, resident leaders, and residents to schedule and monitor all Quality Assurance complaints until complete resolution.
  • Assist with creating and maintaining QA Inspectors weekly inspection schedule.
  • Conduct field visits to coordinate inspections between NYCHA residents, development staff and other departments as needed.
  • Keep records of required repairs using manual and computer systems.
  • Witness repair work being performed to ensure the repairs are being made properly and in a timely manner.

  • High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or

Preferred Skills- \tKnowledge of field operations.

- \tAbility to handle multiple assignments, meet deadlines and work independently.
- \tExpertise with Oracle, Maximo, Siebel and Movaris programs.
- \tCapability in problem solving and decision making.
