    Zurich is currently searching for an Application Delivery Lead to work out of our Zurich North American headquarters in Schaumburg, IL.

    This position will be part of Zurichs Core Platforms ADM (Application Development and Maintenance) Team that will be responsible for focusing on the delivery of multi-year, multi-million-dollar programs of moderate to high complexity with multiple stakeholders.

    They will also contribute to application, development, maintenance and improvement of a portfolio of business applications, managing relationships with business and outsourcing partners to address application performance issues and drive service improvement.

    The Application Delivery Lead will have responsibility in working with the business in prioritizing deliverables as the single point of contact, which will also include working with requirements gathering, functional development teams, multiple vendor teams, and the testing and quality teams in implementing development software into production as this individual contributor will drive and deliver on strategic initiatives.

    The essential duties will also include Guidewire expertise in the UW Management platform where the Application Delivery Lead will manage, support, and maintain the UW Management application from a commercial lines framework within an Agile methodology and will be accountable for delivering large projects, thus modernizing the programs utilizing a detailed understanding of insurance, processes, and business systems.


    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelors Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the IT area
    OR

    • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the IT area
    OR

    • Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the IT area

    AND

    • 4 or more years maintaining IT hardware and software
    • Experience with IT architecture and infrastructure

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelors degree preferred
    • Experience working in the insurance industry, specifically commercial insurance
    • Guidewire Underwriting Management (UM) experience preferred
    • Guidewire PolicyCenter experience - Preferred
    • Experience working in underwriting and workbench applications
    • Experience in implementing large, complex projects / programs for Insurance
    • Ability to manage multiple vendor resources under a distributed model
    • Functional and technical knowledge expertise
    • Strong verbal and written communications skills
    • Experience with Agile methodology
