***The Business Analyst (BA) will analyze business processes within the organization. The BA will identify issues and/or opportunities for improvement to ensure system consistency and workflow. The BA will serve as the liaison between the business and technical worlds balancing the use of leading-edge technology along with the capabilities and needs of the end user.


PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create, maintain, and review business process models, data flows, and business requirements.
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts, departmental managers, and developers to document requirements, define scope of work, prioritize business objectives, and document project initiatives
  • Assist with project management for selected projects.
  • Coordinate with different departmental teams to produce better business outcomes.
  • Analyze process issues, bottlenecks and recommend improvements.
  • Convert roadmap features into smaller user stories.
  • Identify automation opportunities.
  • Construct and present workflow charts and diagrams.
  • Communicate, validate, and prioritize requirements with relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain reporting tools.
  • Perform data discovery, analysis, and modeling.
  • Collaborate with Product Manager on roadmap planning and prioritization.
  • Perform user acceptance testing.
  • Triage system performance issues as identified during user acceptance testing.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Associates degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience designing and executing comprehensive business requirements.
  • Experience with PowerPoint, Visio, ADO (Azure Dev Ops), and MS SharePoint preferred.
  • Detail oriented, analytical, and inquisitive.
  • Insurance and policy processing experience is preferred.
  • Strong relationship management, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Proven analytical and problemsolving abilities with keen attention to detail.
  • Experience with Agile and Waterfall software development methodologies.
  • Understanding of Duck Creek, evolving reporting technology or other BI tools is preferred.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
