Position Summary:


Location (Wilmington, NC, Austin, TX, Remote):


Responsibilities:


  • Management of code delivery and code life cycle through UAT, CAT and PROD environments.
  • Construction and communication of reporting and metrics.
  • Creation / coordination of centralized release schedule and deployment execution plans
  • Mitigate risks and resolve issues regarding release quality and schedule.
  • Ensure all teams are adhering to engineering standards by serving as the gatekeeper.
  • Evaluate frequency of releases and alignment to scrum teams.
  • Continual focus on optimization of the release process.

Requirements:


  • BA/BS degree in a technical/business field (In lieu of degree, 4 years relevant work experience).
  • 2+ years of industry experience focused on release management.
  • A superb understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with Jira, Jenkins(or other automation tools) and AWS (or other cloud service provider).

Nice to have:


  • Outstanding management, followthrough, and resourcefulness along with good attention to detail, verbal and written communication skills, and collaboration with teams
  • Experience with Atlassian tools including Bitbucket and Confluence
  • Experience with working in software development environment centered around Online Banking.
  • Prior participation with handson development, devops or platform engineering.
  • Prior exposure having a hand in maturing the release management discipline.
  • Proficiency with continuous deployment improvements.
