- Performing all aspects of roadway design independently
- Familiarity with D&F Project Delivery Manual (PDM) requirements
- Efficiently preparing final roadway plans, specifications, and cost estimates
- Assisting in organizing roadway engineers, CAD, and other disciplines to ensure timely and budget-friendly project delivery
- Supporting junior engineers and CAD staff in creating plan set documents following DOT standards
- Reviewing roadway design calculations and drawings for quality
- Participating in the preparation of meeting minutes and progress reports as per the PDM
- Applying engineering principles to solve technical challenges
- Liaising with clients and regulatory agencies through various means of communication
- Contributing to the preparation of presentation material for client and public information meetings
- Aiding in developing project scope, schedules, and budgets
- Creating project cost estimates
- Collaborating effectively with the team to maintain D&F's reputation as a top engineering firm in South Carolina
- BS in civil engineering (MS preferred)
- Licensed Professional Engineer
- 4 to 8+ years of roadway design experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Thorough knowledge of roadway design requirements (SC experience preferred)
- Proficient in Geopak and Microstation (knowledge of Open Roads is a bonus)
- Self-motivated with the ability to lead standard roadway projects independently
