Join the Mid-Hudson Forensic Psychiatric Center Team

Mid-Hudson Forensic Psychiatric Center (MHFPC), a NYS Office of Mental Health (OMH) Division of Forensic Services facility, is currently recruiting Licensed Psychologists for their secure adult psychiatric center in New Hampton, NY.

MHFPC provides a comprehensive program of evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation to adults who have been found incompetent to stand trial or not responsible for criminal conduct due to mental disease or defect.

Licensed Psychologists at MHFPC:

Perform forensic evaluations including fitness to stand trial, violence risk assessment, and other courtordered assessments
Provide professional psychological services to individuals on inpatient units
Develop and implement treatment plans
Provide individual and group psychotherapy
Maintain records and write reports
Provide clinical leadership
Provide program management
Participate in Internship Committee and provide didactic training to psychology interns and externs

Minimum Qualifications

Licensed and currently registered to practice psychology in New York State
