    Occupational Therapist in School-Based Setting

    Position: OT
    Location:Boston, MA

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct assessments to evaluate students' sensory, motor, and cognitive skills.
    • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' needs within the school setting.
    • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in both individual and group settings.
    • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' educational goals.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of strategies to promote student participation and independence in the classroom.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions and student progress.
    • Participate in team meetings, including Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, to review student progress and make recommendations for ongoing support.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
    • Valid OT license in Massachusetts.
    • Experience working with children in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred.
    • Knowledge of special education laws and regulations, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
    • Ability to adapt therapy interventions to meet the diverse needs of students.
    • Commitment to promoting inclusion and supporting the academic success of all students.
