Are you a strategic sales leader who understands wire, margin management, and operational execution? We are seeking a Specialty Wire Sales Manager with Mars Electric to lead and grow our specialty wire division, drive profitable revenue, and build a high-performing sales culture focused on customer commitment and operational excellence.
What You'll Do
Revenue & Growth Leadership
Develop and execute a strategic growth plan for the specialty wire division.
Drive profitable sales growth across contractors, industrial, and project business.
Identify new markets, emerging opportunities, and strategic customer targets.
Establish sales targets and hold the team accountable to performance metrics.
Margin & Pricing Strategy
Analyze wire spreads, commodity trends, and project pricing structures.
Monitor bid activity, large project quoting, and market competitiveness.
Ensure disciplined quoting processes and margin integrity.
Team Leadership & Development
Lead, coach, and develop inside and outside sales professionals focused on specialty wire.
Conduct customer visits to support strategic account growth.
Build technical product knowledge across the broader sales team.
Vendor & Supply Chain Partnership
Strengthen relationships with key wire manufacturers.
Collaborate on rebates, promotions, training, and growth initiatives.
Monitor inventory strategy and turns in partnership with Purchasing and Operations.
Operational Alignment
Work cross-functionally with warehouse and logistics to support cut-wire processes and project fulfillment.
Improve service levels, lead times, and customer experience.
Standardize processes around quoting, job tracking, and project closeout.
What We're Looking For
5+ years of experience in electrical distribution, wire sales, or related industry.
Proven track record of driving profitable revenue growth.
Strong understanding of commodity pricing, margin strategy, and bid management.
Leadership experience managing or influencing a sales team.
Analytical mindset with comfort reviewing financials and KPIs.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in CRM and ERP systems.
