Mobility planning is located in the Department of Regional Development and Public Transport in the Office for Planning and Nature Conservation.
In addition to regional development and tourism, this department deals with general mobility planning and, in particular, public transport on roads and railways.
Mobility planning is of particular importance for regional development, as most daily and leisure activities involve changes in location.Promoting walking and cycling as well as public transport (PT) and other mobility topics through conceptual planning, as well as concrete measures, are important tasks of the position.
Networking and knowledge transfer at the regional, Münsterland, and state level are important tools for achieving these goals.You can find more information about the Warendorf district administration here.
These are the tasks you can look forward to:
- Conceptual mobility planning to promote sustainable transport and local mobility
- Implementation and updating of the Warendorf district cycling concept
- Accompanying the local transport plans for buses and trains
- Project development, implementation, and coordination in all areas of mobility
- Designing cycling and pedestrian facilities on local district roads
- Conducting, accompanying, and supporting campaigns and activities as part of public relations
