Job Duties:
Assistant investigators are responsible for providing a full range of investigative support services for attorneys and investigators.
General areas of responsibility include retrieving criminal, civil, juvenile, medical, and/or educational records; conducting searches for civil and criminal records; documenting records requests; maintaining all releases and keeping them up to date; and providing any additional support to the cases, as needed.
Selection Criteria:
Successful applicants demonstrate an interest in social justice, civil rights, or indigent defense; must have excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills; have strong organizational and technical skills; an ability to organize work and set priorities to meet critical deadlines; capable of learning new technological tools, when needed; be able to work independently and take initiative; and work well collaboratively.
Pay:
$69, $90,647.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Evenings as needed
- Weekends as needed
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (required)
Ability to Commute:
- Los Angeles, CA required)
Ability to Relocate:
- Los Angeles, CA 90012: Relocate before starting work (required)
Work Location:
