VUMC Temp Force has a great temp to hire opportunity for a cook at the Children's Hospital. The cook is responsible for preparing food for patients and/or cafeteria customers following assigned production schedule and standardized recipes. Maintains sanitation and safety of work area . The responsibilities listed are a general overview of the position and additional duties may be assigned . High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience) and 1-year relevant experience *
Food service and healthcare experience highly preferred
**Physical Requirements/Strengths needed & Physical Demands** **:** * Occasional: Taste: Ability to detect quality, texture, consistency and taste of prepared foods/quality control.
Continuous: Communication: Expressing or exchanging written/verbal/electronic information.
Continuous: Auditory: Perceiving the variances of sounds, tones and pitches and able to focus on single source of auditory information
Continuous: Vision: Clarity of near vision at 20 inches or less and far vision at 20 feet or more with depth perception, peripheral vision, color vision.
