    Job Overview:


    The Licensed Social Work Associate (LSWA) serves as an integral part of our multidisciplinary team, providing essential social work services in accordance with District of Columbia regulations.

    This position requires a strong commitment to supporting individuals and communities in need, while working under the guidance and supervision of a licensed Supervising Social Worker.


    Key Responsibilities:

    Client Support and Case Management:

    • Conduct initial assessments and participate in the development of client care plans.
    • Provide direct support to clients, including crisis intervention, advocacy, and referral services.
    • Collaborate with other professionals to coordinate client care and resources.

    Documentation and Compliance:

    • Maintain accurate and confidential client records.
    • Ensure all services and documentation comply with DC social work regulations and standards.

    Community Outreach and Education:

    • Participate in community outreach programs to identify and engage individuals in need of social work services.
    • Provide educational resources and support to clients and their families.

    Professional Development:

    • Engage in continuous learning and professional development activities under the guidance of the Supervising Social Worker.
    • Attend regular supervision sessions and team meetings.

    Ethical Practice:

    • Adhere to the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Code of Ethics and local regulatory requirements.
    • Maintain client confidentiality and practice with cultural competence and sensitivity.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field.
    • Licensed Social Work Associate (LSWA) in the District of Columbia.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Commitment to ethical practice and continuous professional development.

    Working Conditions:

    • Office setting with regular visits to client locations, which may include homes, schools, and community centers.
    • Flexible hours, including possible evenings and weekends, to meet client needs.
