    Job Summary: Assist drafting department with clerical and administrative support.

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Answer incoming calls and assist caller when able or transfers to appropriate personnel.
    • Process completed or revised engineering drawings.
    • Maintain and distribute reference materials.
    • Review and organize documents from e-mails and mailings.
    • Distribute drawings to L&M Plant locations per policy guidelines.
    • Assist with file searches and other ECOs.
    • Responsible for organizing and managing files.
    • In charge of filing, data entry, photo copying and special projects.
    • Assist other departments, within abilities, in regards to questions on drawings or files.
    • Liable for ordering and maintaining supplies for drafting inventory.
    • Edit and proofread documents and computer entries to ensure accuracy.
    • Perform work in a safe manner and follow all safety guidelines and procedure.
    • Domestic and international travel required and could include weekend travel depending on the project.
    • Performs related work or job duties as required by supervisor.
    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required for Entry Level:

    Ability to delegate tasks, identify needs and propose solutions.

    - Awareness of supervisory principles and techniques.
    • Must have skills needed to understand and interpret policy and procedures.
    • Plan, assign, review, and evaluate employee's work.
    - Communicate in English effectively and clearly by both written and verbal means.

    - Demonstrate maturity, intelligence, cooperation, and discretion.

    - Work effectively with fellow employees and independently.
    • Experience using SolidWorks with 3-D design or similar software.
    • Proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, and Outlook.
    • Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, drug and background test.
    Minimum Qualifications for Application:

    2 year degree in drafting or pre-engineering.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Knowledge of Epicor, Ultimate software or similar ERP system.

    Experience in Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or Six Sigma.
