Description
Henry Ford Health is seeking an NP/PA for days or nights. Contingent position available with a minimum of 1 weekend per month and 1 holiday per year required.Provides emergent, inpatient and/or outpatient medical care with the supervision but not necessarily the presence of a qualified physician member of the medical staff
Performs nursing functions independently
Works in collaboration with staff physicians, house officers, nurses and other members of the medical care team to ensure that patient outcomes are achieved in a safe and efficient manner
Specific procedures are individually credentialed as indicated by training and experience
Must be a Masters prepared Registered Nurse who has graduated and taken the board certification within their chosen specialty -OR- Must hold a Bachelor's Degree and have completed an AMA-approved Physician Assistant program and taken the boards
Must have no encumbering circumstances which would prevent credentialing by the Henry Ford Medical board
ANA certification exam in a nursing specialty field; and/or Certification from Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) -OR- Requires continuing certification by the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants
A minimum of 3 years of experience working in inpatient critical care medicine as an APP or an RN is preferred
A Physician Assistant or a Nurse Practitioner who holds an Acute Care Degree is preferred
