    :

    The Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for the Online Quality Control process of finished products made by Netafim in the Extrusion Department.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Other duties as assigned.)

    The Quality Control Supervisor's responsibilities include having a good understanding and knowledge of the items below and demonstrate the ability to work on each of them as they arise.


    • Lead the team of 12 Online QC Technicians and ensure they execute properly all the required tests for each sample and on time, by following the Samples Dashboard.


    • Prepare the shifts schedule one month ahead, as well as monitor the actual shift's staffing and workload, making sure that the necessary resources are assigned for both TWD and HWD QC Stations, including certified backups.


    • Ensure that the Online QC Technicians complete all the QC Logs, such as Call outs, Backtracking, Layouts, CNL test, AS test, Rewind splicing inspection, etc.


    • Ensure that the layout tests for TWD production lines are completed per shift according set frequency.


    • Ensure effective communication with the Production team about out of spec samples, for immediate adjustment and ensure the escalation process is being met.


    • Work closely with STs, ETs, Shift Supervisors and Extrusion Manager to achieve operational goals, productivity and efficiency.


    • Monitor the control charts of critical parameters and take actions to prevent scrap when trends are not meeting the expectations (including wall thickness measurements and GPM).


    • Ensure the backtracking of internal rejections is completed on a timely manner (average 24 hours) while using a FIFO system and executing all the steps in MES and in SAP to quarantine and give final disposition to the products.


    • Complete and/or coordinate with the Laboratory Technicians the relevant SAP transactions for Warehouse transfer requests, blocking, releasing, creating Transfer orders and material adjustments on time.


    • Prepare the QC updates from the last 24 hours for the daily Plant Tier 2 meeting.


    • Prepare a monthly report to evaluate the Online QC performance KPIs as defined.


    • Record the approved deviations in the quality management system and in MES.


    • Responsible for training and certifying new Online QC Technicians and backups, as well as completing the re-certification process according set frequency.


    • Participate in or lead Lean methodology tools such as 8Ds, RCCAs, RPS to improve processes.


    • Ensure proper operating conditions and calibration of the QC equipment and measuring devices. Conduct GR&R when needed.


    • Participate in customer complaints investigations and field visits.


    • Implement, sustain, and continuously improve the 5S in the QC areas and conduct 5S Audits. 5S Owner of the QC Stations.


    • Create and/or update Procedures and Work Instructions for the Quality Department.


    • Participate in or lead Change Management and Product Validations as necessary.


    • Participate in ISO 9001 & 14001 audits and any other (e.g., Layered process audit).


    • Participate in Operational excellence Program through Idea generation, Gemba Walks, Kaizens, etc.


    • Define annual objectives and goals for Quality Control and conduct the performance review for Online QC Technicians.


    • Responsible for accomplishing all the mandatory trainings from Safety, HR and Orbia in the QC department.


    • Responsible for providing safe conditions at the QC working areas and recording Safety Proactive reports.


    • Review and approve timecards and time off requests from the direct reports.


    • Ensure compliance of lunches and breaks.


    • Flexible work schedule during day hours to oversee day and night shifts.


    • Follow and enforce all company policies and procedures.


    • Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

    Requirements:

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE


    • =3 years of quality experience in a supervisor role in a manufacturing industry.


    • >1 - 2 years of experience in Quality Laboratory is preferred.


    • BS Degree in technology, business management, or equivalent degree desired.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES


    • Fluent in English.


    • Bilingual preferable.


    • Solid Verbal skills – should be able to do presentations to groups and able to train others.


    • Superior writing skills and grammar.


    • Computer adequacy in MS office programs such as Excel, Word, and Access.


    • Proficient in analysis and collection of data.


    • Innovation and creativity in solving problems.


    • Skilled in Management techniques.


    • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate employees.


    • Demonstrated ability to work well with management/supervisors in a team environment.


    • Lead and/or facilitate company teams to improve operations, solve problems and optimize processes.


    • Ability to make tough impartial decisions regarding quality.


    • Leader on the production floor exhibiting good judgment.


    • Possess a positive work ethic, self-motivated with little supervision required.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    Lift 70 pounds on an intermittent basis during quality activities, such as restacking pallets when needed or lifting boxes of drippers.
