- Job Evaluation and Analysis: Collaborate with HR Business Partners to understand job requirements, evaluate job positions and recommend appropriate salary ranges. Develop and maintain job descriptions, classifications, and career architecture.
- Research: Participate in salary surveys to gather relevant market data for benchmarking. Conduct market research to stay updated on compensation trends within the industry and relevant labor markets.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Conduct comprehensive analysis of internal and external data to ensure competitive and fair compensation practices. Prepare reports for HR and executive leadership.
- Compensation Design: Design, implement and maintain compensation structures that align with the companys goals.
- Compensation Planning: Assist in developing compensation budgets. Recommend adjustments to salary structures and other compensation programs based on market trends and company goals.
- Compensation Administration: Collaborating with internal and external partners to administer compensation programs, implement changes to compensation systems, and prepare and deliver communications and training on compensation programs.
- Advisory: Provide guidance and support to employees, HR, and management on compensation-related matters.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations including providing reporting for compliance audits and monitoring for regulatory changes.
- In-depth knowledge of compensation practices, market trends and relevant legislation.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle complex, sensitive data with strict confidentiality.
- Team player with strong people skills that will enhance the companys employee and customer-service oriented culture.
- Excellent project management and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance or related field is required.
- Professional certification (PHR, CCP and/or CEBS certification) is preferred.
- Extensive experience with Excel, data analysis tools, HR systems and other business applications is required.
- Five or more years of experience in compensation in an HR department or consulting firm is required.

Brasfield & Gorrie LLC, a recognized leader in the construction industry, has an exciting opportunity available for a Compensation Analyst in its corporate HR group in Birmingham, Alabama, which supports the entire company across the U.S.
Reporting/Organizational Structure: The Compensation Analyst will report to the Director of Compensation & Benefits in the HR Department. This person will work closely with the Benefits team, HR Business Partners, other members of the HR Department, Payroll team, and leaders throughout the company.
